Luciana Ramalhao is an architect and earned her Master’s Degree in Urban and Regional Planning and Development. She believes that architecture is something to be lived. As Oscar Niemeyer once said, “it is not enough to leave school to be a good architect, the subject has to open up to the world.” That's what Luciana did, as she loves the wonders the world can offer. She has visited almost 20 countries around the world, learning new languages and cultures. This led her to connect with everything related to form and design, and how cities and people organize themselves with the urban. Brazilian-born, Luciana currently lives in Canada and is part of the GeoTrek team of traveling writers, researching and telling the stories of extreme weather and geoscience that impact communities.
